About meHi!
I am 23 years old and I come from Italy. I studied psychology in university and recently graduated from my masters program which specialized in communication and development psychology (another passion of mine, other than cooking is babieeeesss). Now I will start my internship and I'm super pumped! My dream is to ultimately combine psychology with cooking and food to find what would be the perfect job <3 I started developing an interest for cooking about a year ago, so not long at all really! Because of my dad's job we travel and move and I've had the luck to have lived in London, Indonesia and Egypt. For the past years though since I had already started my studies in Milan I was not able to follow my dad, and the rest of my family, to London (for what would have been the second time) so I stayed behind while my mom went back and forth. This resulted me in being home by myself for longish periods of time which meant scrambled eggs, tortellini and piadinas all the time. This worked for a bit but after a while I really got sick of the monotony of it all so I started adventuring in some more complex recipes. Total failure. I was terrible and soon became famous within the family for my uncooked yet burnt pizzas (totally possible I promise) and basically liquid fish (I guess I might have overcooked it just a little bit...oops). I tend to take jokes personally and so I was determined to change my reputation and really practice hard and inform myself on ways to cook stuff and funky recipes until finally I was able to make edible food that actually tasted good! Well so that was the start basically, from then I can say I made lots of improvement and lots still has to be made! Since I have travelled a lot and I adore every single type of cuisine, the things I cook tend to have inspiration from all sorts of dishes: from curries to sushis to galettes, tacos ecc...Recently I have really become interested in plant based eating and healthy hearty food. I am not vegan and I eat meat but I really admire people who are able to eat clean and healthy earth food without ever giving in to meat and cheese! I definitely try and have my diet based on vegetables and pulses most of the time but I would be lying if i told you I rarely had dairy and meat. Even when I do, I keep my recipes healthy and clean which is what makes me happy because it gives me the perfect balance :) I think that's enough about me, but if you have any question don't hesitate to ask! |
